Today, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the loss of one of our brightest stars, Beth Ann Unger, as well as share some news regarding an exciting new initiative in her honor.

Beth Ann Unger was not just a remarkable member of TAGITM; she was a mentor, a leader, and an advocate for equal representation of women in the field of technology. Her passion for inclusivity and her commitment to fostering the growth of women in technology were truly inspiring. Beth Ann embodied the core values of our organization, and her legacy will continue to shape our path forward.

In her memory, I am delighted to announce that TAGITM is actively working on the creation of a "Women in Technology" scholarship program. This initiative is being developed in collaboration with Roger Unger, and we are planning to establish the Beth Ann Unger Foundation as a 501c3 organization. The foundation will provide a platform for anyone who wishes to contribute to this noble cause.

Our primary goal is to offer annual scholarships to female members of our organization, enabling them to participate in programs such as the Certified Government Chief Information Officer (CGCIO) program. Additionally, we extend this opportunity to any TAGITM member who has a daughter aspiring to pursue educational opportunities in the field of technology.

We believe that by investing in the education and professional development of women in technology, we can make a lasting impact on the industry and continue Beth Ann's mission of promoting diversity and equality. This scholarship program is a testament to her legacy and the values that she held dear.
