Facility Manager Spotlight: Cheryl Smith

Cheryl Smith, RID, is a Facilities Planner at the University of North Texas and active member of TAPPA.  Ms. Smith has worked for UNT for 13 years and obtained her bachelor’s degree in interior design from the university.  As a strong, UNT “Mean Green” fan, you are likely to find green in many of her project designs. Cheryl is a strong proponent of improving her teams and her profession which was recently, demonstrated when she teamed on two presentations at TAPPA 2023 regarding furniture standards and student intern development and management. When recently asked about the TAPPA 2023 conference, Cheryl replied, “TAPPA presents outstanding opportunities to engage peers from across state institutions and businesses.  Those engagements are priceless for learning new concepts and learning how to tackle common challenges.
