Facility Manager Spotlight: John Anderson

John is the Assistant Director, Central Plant and Utilities for Texas Woman’s University and former Lead Engineer at North Park University in Chicago.  John began his career in facilities management as a student employee, assisting other trades with accomplishment of their work orders and projects.  While working as a young, student employee, he earned his MBA through North Park University in 2017, in addition to a certificate in finance. During his tenure at Texas Woman's University, he has earned a CEM (Certified Energy Manager) certification through the Association of Energy Engineers and is also a Certified Building Operator, Level I, issued by the North West Energy Efficiency Council. John participated in the APPA Institute for Facilities Management Utilities track in September of 2016 (Orlando, FL) and is planning to seek his CEFP in the future.
