TAPPA News and Updates

Happy Fall Y’all!

I hope everyone is doing well and that your campuses are in full Fall colors, not that that means much here in Texas. As your current TAPPA president, I want to thank each of you for your participation in this great organization and am looking forward to seeing each and every one of you at our 2021, 2022 and now 2023 Conference.

Plans are under way for our 2022 in-person TAPPA Conference in Spring, Texas and have been in the works since March of 2020, when COVID hit. And it was because of COVID that TAPPA was able to conduct its first ever, virtual conference. With the support of its members, the conference was a huge success. But I for one, am looking forward to our in-person conference next Spring.

As some of you may have seen in your emails, TAPPA is asking its members to participate in our monthly member spotlight, a chance for YOU to step up and shine within your organization and your peers at TAPPA. So please take about 5-10 minutes to fill out the questionnaire about yourself.

William "Shorty" Schwartz
TAPPA President

TAPPA is now Accepting Abstracts & Proposals for their 2022 TAPPA Annual Educational Conference & Business Partner Fair.

Collaboration and sharing is at the heart of any successful education program. With that in mind, TAPPA would like to encourage you to present a breakout session at the 2022 Annual Conference. • Energy and Utility Management
• Space Utilization and Management

• Grounds Maintenance Innovations and Planning
• Custodial Maintenance Initiatives
• Procurement Initiatives and Best Practices

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

The TAPPA Board of Directors would like to recognize and get to know our current members better. The depth of knowledge within this group is something that we should all be proud of. As a board, we feel that we can all learn something from each other, but that this can only be done if we share a little bit about ourselves. In an effort to get to know each other better, we have created the "Member Spotlight" where a TAPPA member will be spotlighted through our monthly TAPPA Newsletter. This is our chance to highlight you and your success to others in this industry. We are proud of our members and would be honored if you would participate.

If you are interested in participating in the TAPPA Member Spotlight or would like to nominate someone, please fill out this interest form. Photo credit: ISTOCK.COM/Vitan
