Jeff Brown is the Associate Vice President for Facilities at the University of North Texas. Jeff returned to the University of North Texas last year after several years in Missouri higher education and brings 35 years of experience to UNT and the TAPPA community. According to peers, “having the opportunity to 'grow up' in the facilities management world and serve in just about every capacity imaginable, I’ve had the unbelievable experience of learning and growing from amazing coworkers, peers and mentors that were willing to take the time to invest in me and my development. I’m excited for the upcoming TAPPA conference in Denton because there is no better environment to learn and grow together, investing in each other.”

          

Michael Poriotis is an Area Manager for Kurita America, and he is a familiar face to facility managers in the Dallas/Fort Worth/Oklahoma Region.  He is a 4-year member of TAPPA and is also active with DFWAPPA. This TCU engineering graduate has extensive experience in treatment of cooling towers, steam boilers, chill water, heating water, wastewater, process chill water and ultra-purification. He has also worked in various industries, including food and beverage, microelectronics, pulp & paper, commercial real estate, hospitals, molding injection, ISDs & pharmaceuticals. Look for Michael and Kurita at #TAPPA2023 in Denton this month.
