This month we spotlight Jimmy Gresham, the Director of Facility Operations at Texas Wesleyan University. Jimmy has worked at the university for seven years, with previous experience at Dallas College’s Mountain View campus and in the construction industry.  He recently became the President of DFWAPPA following several years on the Board. Jimmy’s objective in his new role at DFWAPPA is to facilitate educational opportunities for facility managers and business partners in the DFW area while creating collaboration opportunities with quarterly DFWAPPA meetings and the annual golf tournament and skeet shoot. Jimmy stated, “DFWAPPA and TAPPA have a long history of collaboration which I look forward to continuing to develop, especially with TAPPA’s new Regional Roundup educational sessions.”

Jonathan Rogero is the President of Alpha Building Corporation (Alpha), a 54-year-old general contracting firm headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. Now in its third generation of family ownership, the company continues to specialize in Job Order Contracting (JOC) for public facilities across Texas and works with private clients offering hard bid, design-build, and CMAR construction solutions. Alpha is a small business with MBE, HABE, SBE & HUB certifications.

Alpha has worked in the educational arena since 1992, when they were awarded the nation's first JOC for a university campus. Alpha has built strong relationships with long-term educational clients across university, community college, and K-12 campuses. They have successfully modernized countless classrooms, rejunevated athletic facilities, and created inspiring and welcoming campus grounds. Alpha brings this experience and success to TAPPA and CAPPA.

Jonathan and Alpha have been involved with TAPPA and CAPPA for many years, participating in learning sessions, sponsorships, annual conferences, and committees. Jonathan's favorite things about TAPPA are meeting new and existing business partners and seeing industry friends. In addition, the conferences enable Alpha to learn about the construction needs and challenges of Texas facilities, and in turn, share how Alpha performs as an extension of facilities departments and solutions in person.

Alpha looks forward to continuing thier relationship with TAPPA and CAPPA and continuing to serve Texas educational facilities, creating environments where great things happen!
