The 2023 TXAPA Quality Asphalt Pavement Awards Program recognizes the best-built roadways completed in 2022 and managed by municipalities and private owners. The Awards are presented at the Annual MAPS Conference and comprise six categories—large airport (any project over 15,000 tons), small airport (any project under 15,000 tons), city streets, county roads, parking lots, and specialty projects. Be sure to nominate your projects for an award and spread the word to your city and county customers. Nominations are due Dec. 31, 2023

The Texas Department of Transportation and the HMAC award Quality Control/Quality Assurance Technicians for achieving excellence in performing their assigned duties. A technician from each level of Hot Mix Asphalt Certification (1A, 2, and 1B) and one technician from the Soils and Flexible Bases Certifications (101, 102, 103, 201, and 202) is chosen to receive the award.
