On Dec. 4, 2015, the President has
signed into law the first long-term highway bill with robust funding since
1998. The Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act of 2015 to
authorize funds for Federal-aid highways and highway safety programs. The
five-year, $305 billion legislation - $281 billion allocated to highway and
road projects - provides the needed certainty to plan for long-term projects
that rebuild America's highways, roads, and bridges.
