AONL Annual Conference Recap

Over 150 nurses attended the AONL Advocacy Day at the Capital on March 16. The AONL Advocacy team provided an Advocacy Academy for past attendees and training for the first time attended.  It was a great experience! We had a very successful day as 10 of us from Texas met with the legislative aides for Senator Ted Cruz, Senator John Cornyn and our respective House of Representative members.

Our three key areas of focus and asks were:

1. Increase the Health Care Workforce and Strengthen Capacity
2. Protect Health Care Workers from Workplace Violence
3. Address the Nurse Faculty and Clinical Site Shortages
