SCTONL has been very active despite the challenges of the COVID pandemic. The membership committee has done great work, which is evident by a significant increase in membership. Early last year, we had a vacancy for an education committee chair that was filled by a greatly committed member, Carmina Riding.

This letter is to highlight the extraordinary work accomplished by Carmina, who in short order was able to expand the work of the education committee, strengthening the partnership with Walden University through the offering of webinar classes to all our members on a variety of leadership topics. In addition, Carmina was able to present the SCTONL board with two good options through which our members can sign up for Nurse Executive Certification Exam reviews. Carmina’s commitment to the growth of our local leadership is unmatched, and I am pleased to have her lead our education committee. I am honored to work alongside such an amazing leader who truly exemplifies the values of nursing as a profession at a regional level.
