TIA’s Environmental and Hazmat Subcommittee is looking for new members of the Association to join this important subcommittee. Are you an in-house hazardous materials or environmental expert? Are you looking to learn more about moving hazardous materials or the current regulatory environment of the Environment Protection Agency (EPA)? If you answered yes to either of these questions, you should consider joining the Subcommittee.
TIA has two great ways to burn off those extra calories during the Capital Ideas Conference & Exhibition.
Congratulations to the winners of the TIA 2018 Capital Ideas Conference & Exhibition Scholarships, sponsored by Aljex Software and Avalon Risk Management!

Salespeople are the lifeblood of your business. However, the task of recruiting and interviewing salespeople is one of the greatest challenges for 3PLs. Research findings have discovered that most firms "just wing it."
As the supply chain becomes increasingly digital, 3PLs must adapt to provide new technology services and platforms to their customers, and to improve their own operational efficiency. New entrants into the logistics marketplace threaten to further pressure small- and medium-sized 3PLs by changing shipper expectations.

The TIA "Measure Up Compensation Report" is an invaluable tool about third-party logistics companies' salaries and compensation, their organization and job descriptions.
The survey is available at a reduced rate for TIA members here. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) final rule is requiring the mandatory use of electronic logging devices (ELDs) on all motor carriers who are required to prepare hours-of-service records of duty status. TIA has prepared a detailed card that outlines the implementation dates along with important information on exemptions and penalties. Obtain your ELD Notecard. |
