A recent Penn State survey of 10,000 shippers cited a “lack of freight visibility” as one of the most significant points of dissatisfaction that shippers have with 3PLs. This perception amongst shippers that 3PLs cannot or are not providing this service, is doing damage to our members value and credibility in the industry. To dispel this myth TIA, along with Project44 and 10-4 Systems, commissioned an outside team of writers and transportation experts to take a pulse of the 3PL industry and the technology freight visibility offerings they are utilizing with their shipper customers. Based on the research obtained from industry sources, TIA developed a comprehensive report on freight visibility and track and trace software offerings currently in the marketplace. The findings will be reported Tuesday, April 10 at 2:00 p.m. Hear from the chief editor of the report, a leading freight visibility software company, and 3PL members, who will discuss the findings of the report, which will hopefully dispel the myth.

Education
As the supply chain becomes increasingly digital, 3PLs must adapt to provide new technology services and platforms to their customers, and to improve their own operational efficiency. New entrants into the logistics marketplace threaten to further pressure small- and medium-sized 3PLs by changing shipper expectations.
Salespeople are the lifeblood of your business. However, the task of recruiting and interviewing salespeople is one of the greatest challenges for 3PLs. Research findings have discovered that most firms "just wing it."
