MercuryGate is being acquired by Boston-based alternative investment firm Summit Partners. As part of the deal, it’s getting a new CEO in Joe Juliano, a serial technology executive who takes over for co-founder Monica Wooden. Wooden will transition to a customer-facing role as chief revenue officer, while her cofounder, company president Steve Blough, will stay on as chief product officer. Freight transportation services provider Hub Group announced late last week it entered into a definitive agreement to sell Mode Transportation, a subsidiary company, to an affiliate of global private investment firm, York Capital Management, for roughly $238.5 million.
