Industry News and Advocacy

All comments must be received on Nov. 13, 2018. The global transportation services market was estimated at about $5.8 trillion last year, and there is much at stake for legacy freight forwarding, logistics and supply-chain management companies. There also is an increased pressure to respond to the boom in package deliveries with the rise in e-commerce spending. “I have never seen a market like this in my entire career,” said Kristy Knichel, CEO of Knichel Logistics, summing up the freight market for 2018. Coming from someone with 25 years’ experience in the industry, this speaks volumes. With that in mind, expect these current market conditions to continue well into 2019 and potentially beyond.
