On Nov. 17, 2018, hundreds of Greater St. Louis Area Boy Scouts of America (STLBSA), parents, and Sunset Transportation volunteers came together to help feed the hungry during Scouting for Food, the largest one-day food drive in the U.S.

Humorist Dorothy Parker once quipped, “No good deed goes unpunished.” But when it comes to TIA members, the opposite is true. In 2010, the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) announced TIA 3PL Samaritan Award to recognize a member for exceptional service and assistance to others in need on an annual basis. The purpose of the award is to recognize the good works in which the 3PL industry is engaged in by highlighting a specific 3PL Samaritan effort each year.
