On September 3, 2020, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) published in the Federal Register a notice of proposed pilot program and request for comments to allow commercial drivers to pause their 14-hour driving window. The Agency proposes a pilot program to allow temporary regulatory relief from the Agency’s hours-of-service (HOS) requirement that all driving by drivers of property-carrying commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) be completed within 14 hours after coming on duty. On September 4, 2020, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) announced that it is proposing and seeking public comments on a new pilot program to allow drivers aged 18, 19, and 20 to operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in interstate commerce. DOL Notice of Increased Minimum Wage for Those Individuals Involved in Contracts with the Government
February 12, 2014: President Barack Obama signs and issues Executive Order 13658. This order raises the wages of those individuals who are used to facilitate contracts with Government entities. This minimum wage was to be $10.10 at the time of the Executive order. Education
