Transition...Succession...What do I need to know?

I am part of a church that has just gone through the transition stage of saying goodbye to one pastor and elevating another to take his place. Easy road? Absolutely not! Given the opportunity for change, churches, just like businesses, face many decisions, choices and scenarios as they seek to do "the next thing."

I have had the privilege of being a part of discussions where a contractor is sharing his processes for "passing the baton" in his business to the next generation or to the next owner. The hardest part: letting go. The easiest part: having a plan. As our plumbing and HVAC contractors begin to plan to retire or do the "next thing" in their lives, having that plan is essential to making the transition smooth, profitable and successful for the successor.

As you think of your next steps, have you crafted a plan for your exit? Do you know the value of your company? Of your employees? What do you need from your business to assist you in the next phase of your life? At our upcoming Annual Conference June 13-15, Federated Insurance is sponsoring a session that will prove invaluable to you as you begin the steps towards planning for these next stages.

Attorneys Dustin Davis and Bryan Evans will bring you a session packed full of takeaway information on how to best plan the succession of your businesses. Bring your questions and take some time to really think about these things. You won't be sorry you invested your time in this high quality presentation.

Won't you take the time to enjoy this session and more at our upcoming Annual Conference June 13-15 at the Hyatt Lost Pines in Bastrop, Texas? Click here for more information: PHCC Texas Annual Conference
