PHCC Texas has worked to improve the law that allowed the transfer of a license number due to death or retirement that was passed in 2015. Changes to this law will lower the number of years a license holder must hold the license from 50 to 35 years. The proposed law change, filed by Representative John Kuempel - Seguin, will open up this option to more licensees as they prepare to exit their businesses and enact succession plans. A copy of HB 2095 is here. In the coming weeks, PHCC and its lobby team will work diligently to ensure its passage.
