Construction Education Foundation (CEF) graduates plumbing apprentices!
The 2017 graduating class of PHCC Texas Plumbing Program took the stage on Thursday, June 15, 2017 in Irving, TX. Amid family and friends, these students received their diploma, prizes and accolades for their completion of a 4-year Department of Labor approved program. Thanks to the staff at CEF, this program provides state of the art training to our members' apprentices. The next Plumbing I-A Class begins In August. hVAC Technician BIll Passes the Legislature!
With the passage of HB 3029, a voluntary certified technician bill will help in career and trades recruitment. Thanks to our friends at TACCA (Texas Air Conditioning Association) for bringing forth this bill.
PHCC Texas is consistently monitoring the happenings in Austin
With the call for a special session by Governor Abbott, PHCC will be watching and reporting. Most watched bills will be regarding education. This is now of importance to our industry as trades training and promotion must happen in the schools. Stay tuned for more information on this very important session.
