TSBPE has posted an amended proposal to change the definition of direct supervision to include virtual supervision to the Texas Register. We are now in the 30-day review period where members of the public can submit written comment in response to this proposed rule change. These public comments will become part of the official record that the TSBPE Board Members will take into consideration when voting on the proposal at a future Board meeting. PHCC Texas will make an official public comment; however, we feel it is important for TSBPE to hear directly from plumbing professionals about how virtual supervision may affect the industry and impact their work.

The Inflation Reduction Act provides an opportunity for PHCC Contractors to drive increased business and to potentially reduce their tax burden. Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson reminded Texans to prepare for the upcoming constitutional amendment election on November 7.
“Texans will have the opportunity to vote on 14 proposed amendments to the state constitution, and some local governments will also hold elections this November,” said Nelson. “Now is a good time to take note of upcoming election deadlines and prepare.”
October 10 - The last day to register to vote in time for the November 7 election
October 27 - Last day to apply for ballot by mail
October 23 - Early voting begins
November 3 - Last day of early voting
November 7 – Election Day, polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
