As the 85th Texas Legislative Session enters into its last 5 weeks, I stand amazed at how much gets accomplished and how much will be left by the wayside. So much to do, so little time! Over 6000 bills filed, and yet, only a select number will make it to a committee hearing, much less to the floor of the House or Senate for a vote.

PHCC is working hard this session to provide two new opportunities for you, the plumbing contractor.  With HB 2095, which will lower the number of years a license must be held in order to transfer from 50 to 35.  Further, HB 3094 will allow the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners the ability to credit up to 250 hours towards ultimate licensing for graduating high school seniors that completed an approved Construction Trades Program.
