Job of the Month: Organic Waste Procurement Manager, Generate Capital

Generate Capital in San Francisco is seeking a manager to oversee the feedstock sourcing and contracting for our Waste to Value (WTV) facilities. Reporting to the WTV Asset Manager and liaising closely with the investment origination team, your work will be imperative to managing successful growth within the WTV business. The role covers a wide variety of activities including, but not limited to, developing a thorough understanding of the operations of each facility, performing regular site visits to engage with key personnel and identifying opportunities to increase project revenue and reduce feedstock operating expenses.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5-plus years of experience in the waste or food industries
• Deep commitment to and passion for driving the circular economy
• Strong marketing skills with experience marketing products and negotiating logistics contracts
• Exposure to corporate sustainability plans for organic waste materials with a focus on the food processing and agricultural industries
• Exposure to waste-to-energy plants and organic material handling methods a plus
