One of the hallmarks of all professional certification programs is the requirement for continuing education as certificants continue to refresh their knowledge of industry advances. All USCC/CCOMs and CCPs must earn 30 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) every three years in order to remain certified.
To make this easier, USCC is constantly facilitating upcoming PDH-earning opportunities. You can find the updated list on the certification website under “Get Recertified."
We welcome suggestions and leads for other opportunities for credits. In addition to conferences (which can provide more than 20 hours), chapter meetings (like the upcoming North Carolina Chapter), seminars and online classes may qualify. The topic can be broadly related to organics recycling and as diverse as equipment safety, soil health, in-store organics diversion and anaerobic digestion.
