Soil Loves Compost: 2020 International Compost Awareness Week (ICAW) Theme

The International Compost Awareness Week (ICAW) Committee has chosen “Soil Loves Compost” as the theme for 2020 through a new collaboration with the USCC Market Development Committee.

The two groups are working together to raise public awareness about how the use of compost can improve or maintain high-quality soil, grow healthy plants, reduce the use of fertilizer and pesticides, improve water quality and protect the environment through storing carbon as a significant effort towards climate change mitigation.

ICAW 2020 will take place May 3-9, 2020.

The ICAW Poster Contest, which is open to the public, starts September 1, 2019 and runs until November 1, 2019. Information on ICAW and the poster contest can be found here.
