I have been employed for the City of Omaha, Nebraska for 21 years. The last five years I have managed the City's Biosolids land application program and compost operations.

Why did you choose to become certified through the USCC Certification Commission?

I chose to be USCC certified to provide the OMA GRO customers and vendors with the satisfaction of a quality product. Doing the COTC training was key to helping me achieve the certification. (Thank you, Cary!) During the past five years, I have learned and dealt with many changes to our compost operation. I enjoy dealing with all the residents and helping educate them on how composting works. Doing tours of our facility is always fun because you never know what someone will ask.
