The USCC's Young Professionals Scholarship Program begins July 1, 2022.
We are excited to offer USCC Young Professional Scholarships to 5 individuals this year. Those who apply and receive a scholarship will receive a one-year individual membership to USCC (valued at $170) in return for serving on one of the Young Professional committees. You will be responsible for pledging at least 12 hours from July 2022 to June 2023 to your selected committee. These committees are directly responsible for furthering the young professional network and community in the composting industry.
Our Standing Committees are
- Mentoring Committee: Responsible for organizing the annual mentoring program that pairs young professionals with mentors in the composting industry.
- Webinar Committee: Responsible for hosting quarterly webinars geared towards topics of interest to young professionals.
- Outreach Committee: Focused on engaging and growing the young professional’s network. Responsible for hosting monthly virtual happy hours, quarterly newsletters and more.
- Career Center Committee: Responsible for maintaining and promoting the USCC job board.
Emerging Composter Committee: Responsible for planning the emerging composter poster competition at the Compost2023 conference. You do not need to attend the conference to join this committee. - Volunteer Committee: Responsible for planning a volunteer event for young professionals at Compost2023 conference. You do not need to attend the conference to join this committee.
