Being a voice for composting is not as hard as it sounds! Check out our Advocacy Toolkit on our advocacy web pages. You can learn what’s best to do and wear for virtual public hearings and find letters with talking points on various issues that USCC has supported/opposed. You can even download a Letter to the Editor that you can modify and customize to your own needs, and send it off to your local paper!
The toolkit can also help you find your state’s regulations and your local state and federal representatives, and you can get signed up for our new Compost Action Center, unveiled in early summer, where we have been doing grassroots lobbying on compost use and funding for composting this summer.
We also have an official ADVOCATES REWARDS program. When you record your advocacy actions, you get rewards such as T-shirts and other fun stuff!
