Tim Gainer is the Operations Supervisor for the City of Raleigh Yard Waste Center and is responsible for the Yard Waste Center, the closed landfill, flare operations, gas collection and control system personally or through subordinate supervisors. He has worked for the City of Raleigh at the Yard Waste Center for five years.
Before that, he was the Southeast Region O&M Project Manager for AEG Tetra Tech for five years where he was responsible for project management of several gas collection systems for landfills in Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia and Kentucky. He also served 10 years in the Army with 82nd Airborne where he was a Horizontal Construction Supervisor and Combat Engineer.
Why did you pursue a professional credential through the USCC?
I pursued the CCOM through the USCC to test the knowledge that I have gained about the industry and managing all aspects of a composting operation. I also pursued this to gain the credentials required in the NC Compost rules.
