Help Increase Access for Under-Represented Individuals to COMPOST2024 – Deadline Dec. 15!

USCC’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access Committee added the word ACCESS to the traditional DEI acronym. Why? We are working hard to increase representation and access to USCC programs like COMPOST2024.
We invite you to contribute to our COMPOST2024 DEIA scholarship fund. Last year, due to funding from the 11th Hour Foundation, we were able to provide tuition scholarships to seven individuals. However, five applicants could not accept our offer due to an inability to secure sufficient funds for travel and lodging, as the scholorship only covered tuition.
Unfortunately, that grantor was unable to provide this funding this year, so we are raising funds from contributors such as the North Carolina Composting Council and Better Earth, who are DEIA supporters and contributors to the cause. We have had some individual donations but would like to raise an at least $2,000 more by Dec. 15 to support four full scholarships.
Can you contribute even a small amount? It is amazing how much it adds up when each person makes a contribution.
