Three Awards Given at COMPOST2024

At the recent COMPOST2024 Conference, CREF gave awards to three supporters who have shown great generosity toward the Foundation. All have done so much for CREF for many years. It was an honor to be able to highlight and thank them all.

Our first award went to A1 Organics. The list is long for the number of projects and programs this company has supported over the years. But it doesn’t stop there. Staff from A1 are always available to offer guidance and help, sharing their knowledge and experience of the compost industry and more. 

It was also a special opportunity to be able to say thank you during the award ceremony to Noel and Judy Lyons for so generously supporting the work of CREF. Their recognition of all the Foundation does has meant a great deal to the CREF trustees and staff. Noel is in the photo with CREF executive director Diane Hazard.

The final award given out by CREF at COMPOST2024 went to Bob Rynk. He has donated so much time and effort to help CREF for many, many years. Most recently, he included CREF in the process of finishing and publishing his amazing book, The Composting Handbook, an incredible resource for the compost industry. CREF's part in the book will be a financial benefit to the Foundation for years to come.
