Tell us a little bit about yourself.
“I’m from Central Florida, and I’m from a citrus and cattle farming family.”
Why did you want to pursue USCC Professional Certification?
“I chose the CCOM™ certification to help close the loop in the nutrient recovery process of our family farm. The idea of taking nutrients from the soil and then putting them into landfills is ludicrous. For the vast majority of my life, I have heard 'from farm to table.' Well, what it needs to become is 'from farm to table and back to the farm again.'"
“Composting has provided our farm with valuable nutrients, improved water retention and increased soil microbial health; a big win when combating citrus greening disease.”
