The USCC is committed to growing diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA) within the organization and throughout the compost industry by institutionalizing DEIA in our operations and initiatives. The USCC has been taking strides towards achieving this for the past three years in multitude capacities—from board level to membership. Microbusiness Innovation Corner is yet another step taken as an inclusion measure by supporting and encouraging small businesses. This venture is geared towards promoting these businesses by giving them a greater visibility at the industry’s exclusive compost conference.
Our Microbusiness Innovation Corner (to be found at COMPOST2024) is a dynamic and immersive booth space designed to showcase cutting-edge ideas and the pioneering spirit of microbusinesses at the US Composting Council. This engaging booth brings together a selection of innovative companies at the forefront of industry transformation. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore cutting-edge ideas, groundbreaking solutions, services, and equipment from entrepreneurs and sustainable partners that are shaping the microbusiness landscape. The Microbusiness Innovation Corner serves as a catalyst for inspiration, collaboration, and networking by fostering an environment where attendees can exchange ideas, forge partnerships, develop collaboration, and discover new opportunities.
Though the gap is narrowing, women and racial minorities are underrepresented in small businesses. This Microbusiness Innovation Corner aims to bring new participants to COMPOST2024.
