VECAT Course Registration Improved

In a continuing effort to improve the online experience, VECAT has modified the course listings on Germanna's website to make them easier to locate. All asphalt-related MCS classes have been moved to the following location on the Germanna website:
Workforce Services | Courses, Registration | Transportation,Motorcycle* | Asphalt – Classroom (or) Asphalt – Online
*Courses used to be housed under the Manufacturing course category
The following classes are currently available online:
Asphalt Plant Level I
Asphalt Plant Level II
Asphalt Field Level I
Asphalt Field Level II
Slurry Surfacing
Surface Treatment
Please don’t forget that the courses are now separated into Classroom and Online when you or your employees are looking to sign up. We hope this change will help serve you better in locating the courses online and isolating the type of course you wish to enroll in.
Signing up for on-line classes is simple!
Visit the Germanna website at www.Germanna.edu to register and select the class you wish to take. At your own time and pace, complete each module and its associated activities. Once the class is finished, schedule a time and location to complete the final exam. Exams are given in a proctored environment and therefore must be completed at any one of 23 community colleges located throughout the state. There is no need to travel until you are ready to take the exam, and a VECAT Program Coordinator can help you identify the closest testing center to your home or office location. The test will take no more than one (1) hour for Asphalt Level I (Plant and Field), Slurry Seal and Surface Treatment courses, and three (3) hours for Asphalt Level II courses (Plant & Field).
