VDOT Promotes Mona Gabriel

Mona Gabriel has been promoted from her former position as Division’s Environmental Compliance Engineer to Assistant State Construction Engineer. In her new role, Mona will provide leadership and oversight to the Construction Division’s Environmental Compliance Program, Pre-Construction Program and Data Management Team. Since her arrival at VDOT Mona has improved the Construction Division best practices, coordination, and outreach efforts related to environmental compliance; and has provided technical support on Construction Projects throughout the Commonwealth. Prior to her arrival at VDOT, Mona worked in the private sector where she managed numerous projects involving the design and construction of transportation, utility, residential and commercial projects throughout Central Virginia. Mona is a licensed Professional Engineer, with a BS in Civil Engineering from Alexandria University.
