Clark Named As New Executive VP
Virginia Asphalt Association is pleased to announce that on April 29, Trenton M. Clark was named the new Executive Vice President of the Association.
Trenton has been with VAA since January, 2011 as the Director of Engineering. For the last year, he and Richard Schreck (retired) shared the responsibilities of running VAA to ensure a smooth transition. "Richard left VAA in a great position to excel in the future. Through his efforts and leadership, we are able to pursue new areas such as the Virginia Education Center for Asphalt Technology (VECAT) and the Asphalt Expo. We will not be able to replace Richard, but through a dedicated staff and strong membership involvement we will continue the tradition of providing outstanding service to the asphalt industry in Virginia," said Clark.
Prior to joining the VAA, Trenton worked at VDOT in various roles including State Asphalt Program Manager, Regional Asphalt Field Engineer, State Pavement Engineer and Senior Pavement Management Engineer. After graduating from Virginia Tech in 1993 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, he worked for a consulting firm that specialized in Pavement Engineering. Trenton serves on several Transportation Research Board committees, National Asphalt Pavement Association committees, Pavement Economics Committee for Pavement Design, and NCAT Applications Steering Committee.
Trenton resides in Luray with his wife Nicky and children Nick and Laura.
