On June 21, 2014, the NRVAC joined together for a day of volunteering at one of our local festivals, Downtown Blacksburg, Inc.'s Summer Solstice Festival! This was our third year of participation in this festival and our second year as a co-sponsor of the Main Stage. Our Board of Directors were on hand to create memories for festival attendees at our fun photo booth. For only $1, the crowd was invited to step into our photo booth and take several funny photos using props and costumes we provided and everyone received a souvenir photo set in return!
We finished the evening at the Main Stage where our president, Kimberly Moore, was asked to announce the final band of the night! All proceeds from this event are donated to the Montgomery County Emergency Assistance Program. MCEAP is an organization in our community that helps low-income individuals and families in meeting basic needs including clothing, utility and rent assistance and food stability.
