BRAC Upcoming Events

We are looking forward to our annual golf tournament, being hosted at Old Trail in Crozet on September 9th with an 8:30 am shotgun start!  Our annual event is being sponsored by Sherwin Williams.  Events throughout the day will include Closest to The Pin for men and ladies, Longest Drive and Straightest Drive.  We will also be holding a Putting Contest for a BRAND NEW CAR (winner pays tax, title & tags)!  Look for photos of the event in the October Newsletter.

 

Our September Luncheon is quickly approaching and will prove to be a fun and lively time with guest speaker, Johnnie Barr, who will talk about how "Bad Days are Your Choice".  He will tell us how to deal with complaints, what preventative measures to consider, and how to start and end our day on a positive note.  You will not want to miss this luncheon on the 16th at The Boar’s Head Inn in Charlottesville.

 

Stay tuned for details to be released on our Maintenance Mania Competition on October 9th! Maintenance Mania® is a national competition where maintenance personnel are able to compete against each other in various skill-based games. This is a great way to bring together your Maintenance Team in this fun filled event!

 

All of the BRAC Members look forward each year to the December Luncheon, and proudly, we will again present the winners of our professional and community awards at the luncheon on December 9th. These awards celebrate industry professionals and apartment communities that are members of BRAC. Nominees are recognized as top professionals in our industry. For the winners, an award represents both personal and professional achievement. For our industry, the winners demonstrate characteristics that benchmark success. Registration is now open - do not miss out on an opportunity to be a part of this prestigious awards program!

 

For the Community awards - you can nominate your community or your corporate office can nominate your community. Best Landscaping/Curb Appeal, Best Maintenance Shop and Best Clubhouse will be judged. Judging will take place on September 23rd.  Copies of the judge sheets for these are available upon request. 

For the Individual awards - you can nominate yourself and your team members or, your corporate office can nominate you and your team members. We will be honoring the following winners:  Community Manager of the Year, Assistant Manager of the Year, Maintenance Supervisor of the Year, Maintenance Technician of the Year, Marketing Associate of the Year, Corporate Employee of the Year.
