VAMA News
VAMA's Manager of Government Affairs, Tommy Herbert, breaks down VAMA's progress at the state-level and the interruption caused by the federal eviction moratorium enacted by the CDC.

We understand that you have a lot to consider when putting together your budgets and calendar for the year. When it comes to your association needs, we want to help make this as easy as possible. That's why we've put together this document with tentative dates for all events, 2021 membership dues, event pricing and more. Thank you for your support of VAMA - we appreciate you!
We recently updated our brand to reflect that we are ONE VAMA. Although the 6 chapters across Virginia merged into one organization - the Virginia Apartment Management Association - in 2015, we hadn't updated our branding to reflect that. With a need to demonstrate our unity and strength in numbers before the General Assembly, we decided 2020 was the time. We hope you enjoy our new, cohesive look!

Development News
Blacksburg's newest community is set to open in January, boasting fully furnished studio and 2-bedroom units, a dog washing station and dog park, and more.
A new 192-unit community in the CenterPointe area already has residents and hopes to wrap up construction by the end of the year.
The units will be housed in 4- and 5-story buildings, with structured parking and 13,000 square feet of amenity and commercial space.
The 5-story proposed community's first floor units would be 6 to 9 feet above ground level to protect against flooding from neighboring Lake Olney.
The developer has applied for the special-use permit to build the apartment tower, which would offer 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom apartments.
