The project is planned for the 59-acre former Oasis Sports Park. The proposal included a mix of 200 age-restricted units and 200 non-age-restricted units, with potential for an independent and assisted-living facility.
The 300-unit community near Hampton Roads Center was sold to Kushner Cos in late September. The community includes studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments luxury finishes.
The project, called GreenCity, will be built at the site of the former Best Products headquarters in Henrico. It is expected to include a 17,000 seat arena, two hotels, 2,100 residential units, office and retail space, and green space and plazas.
The 69-unit community was repurposed from the Seward Luggage Factory between 2008-2013. At the time of the sale, all units were occupied.
Fifty new units are housed inside the former Baker Public School, which underwent a $15.8 million rehab and conversion to a multifamily housing community. The project will provide replacement housing for residents of nearby Fay Towers, which RRHA is looking to redevelop as mixed-income housing.
The Breeden Company has acquired land for the development of an upscale luxury mixed-use building on Hermitage Road in the Greater Scott’s Addition area of Richmond, VA. The $27 million project will include a 142-unit multifamily community as well as 24,000 square feet of commercial space, which will be the new corporate headquarters for Breeden Construction.
The Gallery Midtown sold to Levco Management for $27.25 million. The community, originally built in 1938, was renovated in recent years with more renovations planned for the future.
