The general take away is that a blanket policy is being called into question. It has been a best practice for years to avoid a blanket policy, nevertheless, now is a good time to review your procedures.

BRAC hosted our membership luncheon on March 15th and paired it with a morning education seminar. We also presented an award to the community that collected the most food during our 2015 Food Drive for the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank and this month we will be kicking off our 2016 Food Drive.
 
 
   
RVAA hosted a Morning Perk on March 17 that featured speakers from the Carilion Health Center to discuss their future plans in Roanoke and how our communities can benefit from their growth.
 
 
   
RVAA will be hosting our 18th Annual Golf Tournament on May 17 at Ashley Plantation. Join fellow RVAA members for one of the most exciting events of the year, the 18th Annual RVAA Golf Tournament! Networking, delicious food, prizes and tons of fun! Click below for registration information!

This year, RVAA's charity of choice for this tournament will be "Straight Street." This organization provides physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual assistance to "at risk" youth. They are currently building a new facitily in Botetourt called "Street Ransom" to work with children and teens that were victims of human trafficking. VRHC hosted a marketing and leasing seminar on March 22 at The Landings at Weyers Cave. Joanna Munsey, with Rentpath, instructed "Closing Techniques" and "Online Reputation Management." Our students learned a lot about closing the deal and how to respond to negative online reviews. Each student left class with the tools to start their own leasing kit as well. April 21 will feature John Henry Jordan and MSC, Charlie Weaver, Central Wholesalers are panelists for a property maintenance best practices discussion.
