One of the construction industry’s most widely-used mobile technologies makes critical data accessible in the field with first major Autodesk integration after acquisition
PlanGrid, an Autodesk company and a leader in construction productivity software, today introduced PlanGrid BIM, a powerful new product integration with Autodesk RevitⓇ that enables users to immediately access Building Information Modeling (BIM) data, in either 2D or 3D, directly within PlanGrid on their mobile devices. Construction teams and facilities managers can now drill down into rich BIM data in an easy-to-use 2D interface or 3D environment, empowering the field to build with greater accuracy, avoid rework and make decisions faster and with more confidence.

Workforce Development
Central District was excited to have Bedford Science & Technology Center come and be our first Jobsite tour. CMA, Inc. hosted our future in Construction where they were digging down approximately 25 feet – ‘excavating for the footprint of the building.’ Thank you to Alex Hauser of CMA, Inc. who put together an informative and COOL sighting for OUR FUTURE.
SkillsUSA State Leadership Conference was the place to be on April 13th. High school students from around Virginia came to the Tidewater area to put their skills to the test in carpentry, cabinetmaking, plumbing, electrical wiring, and more. These students, who have been preparing since the fall of 2018, beat out their fellow classmates and local competition to be able to compete for the state champion title. With most construction competitions being conducted and judged by AGCVA members, students are exposed to professional feedback and guidance and our members were able to make connections with career and technical educators.
