AGC of America is the largest and oldest General Contractor Association in the nation. AGCVA, the Virginia chapter of AGC of America, has 8 paid staff and 530 member organizations.
As is the case with many things, the benefits of your membership are far greater for those members who choose to get involved with our association. Involvement can mean many things and AGCVA members take part any number of ways – by serving on committees, engaging in local districts, as officers or state directors, and the list goes on.
The bottom line is that those who are most involved are those who get the most out of our association. Attending AGCVA events and serving in the association help to promote and protect what is important to us in the construction industry. April 19-23 was National Volunteer Appreciation Week and we sincerely thank all those that contribute their valuable time to the AGCVA. Volunteering between 1 and 2 hours periodically throughout the year adds up to thousands of hours that collectively keep AGCVA strong.
We look forward to seeing you all at upcoming events. I am excited to see things opening back up, giving us the ability to again gather safely. I encourage you to further these safety efforts in your own workplace and community, as well as within our association community. The COVID-19 vaccine is widely available as are appointments. I hope you will protect your colleagues and friends by getting vaccinated yourself and urging others to consider doing the same.
