SkillsUSA State Leadership Conference Taking Place April 9

In less than two weeks, hundreds of young people will flood the Virginia Beach Convention Center to tout the technical skills they have been learning in classrooms across the state.
The SkillsUSA State Leadership Conference will be taking place in Virginia Beach on April 9, starting at 8:00 a.m. This event is open to the public and will showcase students in over a dozen construction related contests who are fighting to earn the right to move on to the national competition in Atlanta, Georgia, later this summer.
This conference would not be possible if it were not for the many volunteers — including AGCVA members — who prepare, invest time and donate materials to make this weekend a success. Be on the lookout in our April newsletter for contest results and a recap of this annual workforce event.
Additionally, AGCVA members are invited to attend a reception on April 8, hosted by the Tidewater District. There is no cost to attend, but we do need you to register by April 4. Click here to register.
