Sargent Corporation Honored with Prestigious National 2024 Build America Award

Rockydale Quarries Corporation Expands in Virginia

Rockydale Quarries Corporation (RQC) (Valley District) has acquired B&S Contracting, Inc to expand its footprint in Virginia.  B&S Contracting (B&S) has asphalt plants located in the City of Staunton and in Augusta County. 

“We are pleased to expand our Northern Operations and will continue to place major focus for growth opportunities in all RQC business segments,” says Ken Randolph, President and CEO of Rockydale. “This addition nicely complements RQC’s footprint and existing operations in the Shenandoah Valley.”

Rockydale has operated in Virginia since 1932 and now has nine locations in the state.

B&S Contracting, established in 1982 has approximately 50 employees – all of which will remain with the company. 

“We are thrilled to increase our overall capacity and expansion into the hot-mix asphalt and contracting business.” says Randolph. “Danny Bartges will remain as President of B&S and will continue to oversee the day-to-day operations of the asphalt division.  B&S will maintain the exceptional quality and service known to the market over the past 40 years.”
