As we enter into the holiday season, join me for a moment and ponder all the many things we have to be thankful for. While we are living through unsettled times, there are positives all around us. I am reminded of the power of connection, a core value of AGCVA.
As I travel around the state attending district events, I have the rare opportunity to both be an insider and an outsider at the same time. I love being witness to the many lifelong friendships that have grown because of this organization. The many positive ways members are giving back, not just within AGCVA but within their communities, companies and families is inspirational.
I am grateful for the thoughtful leadership AGCVA provides and the voice it uses to advocate for our industry, our companies, and our employees. Our efforts do make a difference not just for today but for many years to come.
As I think back over the thirty years I have been attending AGCVA events, I am grateful for the many faces, and the echoes of their voices that are no longer here with us. We stand on their shoulders as we work to create a better tomorrow. Each one of us has the ability to be that spark that makes all the difference. How will you use that opportunity? Will you invite new members? Will you reach out to someone you haven’t met or barely know at a Christmas party? Will you mentor someone in the industry?
Every interaction matters and weaves the fabric of AGCVA. We are better together and now onward into our next Century!
