Volunteer Your Time to Help a Child Succeed

Where: 7120 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond, VA

IIAV will be providing volunteers on December 17 to help students navigate their way through Finance Park. Volunteers will need to arrive at 8 a.m. for training. Students will arrive at 9 a.m. and then the fun will begin. The role of the volunteer is to help students better understand budgeting and living in the real world. It is a rewarding experience in which to take part!

Finance Park is a program put on by Junior Achievement every year that allows middle school students in the Greater Richmond area to learn about financial responsibility. Each student is given a life scenario, including a job, salary and family situation. Students then must go out and purchase food, housing, transportation, clothes, healthcare, insurance, etc. All these life expenses must be kept in the budget allotted with their salary.
