Hoyt Joins Grange Insurance Board of Directors

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Grange Insurance recently announced that Robert E. Hoyt, Ph.D., has been elected to the company's board of directors. The announcement was made at their annual policyholders meeting.

Hoyt is the Dudley L. Moore Jr. Chair of Risk Management and Insurance in the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, where he teaches corporate and enterprise risk management and serves as head of the insurance, legal studies and real estate department.

Hoyt holds a degree in actuarial science from the University of Nebraska and master's and doctorate degrees in risk and insurance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he was an S.S. Huebner Fellow.

He currently serves as a board member of the International Insurance Society, a member of the board of directors of the Journal of Insurance Regulation and on the editorial board of Risk Management and Insurance Review. A past president of the American Risk and Insurance Association, he holds the professional designations of CLU and ChFC and his research has appeared in various scholarly and trade journals including the Journal of Risk and Insurance and the Journal of Insurance Issues.
