The Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission welcomed two new Deputy Commissioners during a swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday, September 14, at the Commission's headquarters. John T. Cornett will serve the Richmond area and Josh Wulf will serve the Fairfax region.
The President signed a Continuing Resolution bill that contains an extension of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) until December 3, 2021. This is the 17th short-term extension of the NFIP since September 30, 2017. The American Banker's Association's Banks Never Ask That campaign shares helpful tips and information to help protct consumers from falling victim to fraudulent emails, texts and calls from scammers pretending to be their bank.
These statistics are great representations of the damage hackers are inflicting on businesses all across the U.S., from the Coveware Q2, 2021 report:
- The average ransom payment in Q2 2021 was $136,576.
