IIAV-VAIA is looking for volunteers to help at Junior
Achievement’s Finance Park on Friday, January 15, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
in Richmond. You will help guide a group of five to seven students through making a
budget. It is a rewarding experience to
help middle and high school students better understand what it is like to be on their
own financially in the real world.

The weekend after Thanksgiving was a very special weekend for a Chesapeake, Virginia family. At the Taylor Bend Family YMCA, Beau’s family and friends gathered to celebrate in true Hawaiian style on Sunday, November 29. Trusted Choice and Make-A-Wish Central Virginia came together to grant Beau’s wish of going to surf in Hawaii. While in Hawaii, Beau wants to meet and learn from professional surfers as well as get his own longboard.

So what is happening April 25 & 26, 2016? IIAV’s newly formatted two-day insurance industry insurEXPO 2016 is what’s happening. Having heard from our agents, company partners and suppliers that as much fun resort, multi-day conventions and exhibitions are, what they really wanted was a centrally-located one or two-day event. Don’t wait until the last minute to get blank Forms W-2, W-3 or 1099. The demand for paper tax products is declining because of an increase in e-filing and the availability of products online. Due to the decreased demand and printing and shipping costs, the IRS will no longer stock Forms W-2, W-3 and 1099 in Taxpayer Assistance Centers.
