The State Corporation Commission has approved revisions to the premium levels charged for workers’ compensation insurance in Virginia. Workers’ compensation insurance provides medical care and wage replacement benefits to injured workers.

The State Corporation Commission has been named receiver of Southern Title Insurance Corporation by the Circuit Court of the City of Richmond. Southern Title and the Commission determined that the receivership was necessary to protect the interests of policyholders and creditors.

VAPAC is the state political action committee that collects funds from the general membership for distribution to candidates who have a proven interest in and support for insurance legislation. It studies voting records and accepts contribution recommendations from the Legislative Committee.

IIAV has arranged with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines through Pat Mckenzie of Crossroads Travel Inc. to cruise to Bermuda from Baltimore in October of 2012. We are calling this a "CE" cruise as we will teach an eight-hour E&O CE course during the days we are at sea.
